How it Works.

Getting dental care with the Roaming Dental Van is simple and stress-free. We bring the clinic to you, so all you need to do is book a spot (or drop in), bring a few details, and we’ll take care of the rest. Here’s what to expect:

📍Find out when we’re in town

We are mostly found by community boards. Check your local library, community center, or school newsletters for our upcoming visit dates.

  • Direct Contact: Still not sure? Our team is just a text or phone call away. Reach out to confirm dates and the exact parking location so you know exactly where to head.

📅 Secure Your Appointment

Easy Booking by giving us a call or send a text, and Tracey will be happy to assist you.

  • Walk-in Policy: If you find yourself in the area and suddenly realize you’re overdue for a check-up, feel free to stop by! We do accept walk-ins whenever the schedule allows; however, please note that pre-booked appointments will always take priority.

🎒Prepare for Your Visit

To ensure your appointment is as efficient as possible, please have the following items ready when you arrive:

  • Identification & Documentation: Please bring your Medicare card and/or any relevant concession cards.
  • Medical Profile: Bring a current list of your medications, any known allergies, and details of your general health status.

👋Welcome Aboard!

As soon as you step inside our mobile clinic, our team will guide you through the process:

  • Simplified Paperwork: We will assist you in completing a brief medical history and consent form. This ensures we have the most accurate information to keep you safe and comfortable.
  • Open Communication: We want to hear from you. Before we begin, please let us know if you are experiencing any pain, have specific anxieties about dental care, or have any accessibility requirements we should be aware of.
  • Your Care: From start to finish, our goal is to provide a relaxed, private, and professional experience. You’ll receive the same high standard of care you’d expect from a traditional clinic, right in the heart of your own community.

Services.

From extractions to routine check-ups, we're happy to help you get the healthiest and happiest teeth.

X-Rays

Dr. Tracey uses the latest low-radiation imaging to get a clear, instant picture of your dental health.

Extractions

If you are suffering from a severe toothache or a broken tooth that cannot be saved, Dr. Tracey provides immediate on-site extractions to stop the pain and prevent further infection.

Fillings & Restorative

Repairing a tooth that has a cavity (decay). We remove the decayed part and "fill" the space with a durable, tooth-colored resin. We exclusively use composite resin (tooth-colored fillings) to restore your teeth.

Crowns & Veneers

A "helmet" for your tooth. If a tooth is heavily decayed, cracked, or has had a root canal, a crown covers the entire visible part of the tooth to keep it from breaking.

Regular checkup

Regular dental checkups ensure oral health, prevent issues, and maintain bright smiles.

Root Canal Treatment

Saving a tooth that has a deep infection in the "pulp" (the nerve). Instead of pulling the tooth, we clean out the infection and seal it.

Frequently asked questions

Think of us as a high-tech dental office on wheels. We park at schools, workplaces, or community centers. Inside, we have a sterile, fully equipped dental surgery with the same chairs, X-ray machines, and tools you’d find in a traditional building.

We partner with local councils and community Facebook groups to announce our arrival at least two weeks in advance. You can also contact us to find out the moment we open bookings for your specific postcode.

Our mission is to bridge the gap in healthcare. We believe that your postcode should never determine the quality of your dental care. We warmly welcome any community members who find themselves in the following situations:

  • Residents of Rural & Remote Communities

If you live in a regional town or a remote station where the nearest dentist is a long drive away, we are here for you. We bring the full capability of a city dental office directly to your local hub, saving you hours of travel and the stress of navigating distant city traffic.

  • Those with Travel or Mobility Challenges

Getting to a traditional clinic isn't always as simple as hopping in a car. We serve individuals who do not have access to reliable private or public transport, live in aged care facilities or have limited mobility that makes long-distance travel difficult, have physical or sensory disabilities that make a "mobile" local visit a much more comfortable and manageable option.

  • Anyone Facing Limited Access to Care

Waitlists in regional areas can be months long. We provide a vital alternative for those who are experiencing dental pain and cannot find a local appointment or are eligible for government dental schemes (like the CDBS for children) but have no local provider who accepts them.

Diagnostic & Preventative Care:

  • Comprehensive Examinations: A thorough check of your teeth, gums, and soft tissues to monitor your overall oral health.
  • Digital X-Rays: Instant, low-radiation imaging to detect cavities, bone loss, or infections that aren't visible to the naked eye.
  • Professional Cleanings: Removal of plaque and tartar buildup (scale and polish) to prevent gum disease and freshen your breath.
  • Fluoride Treatments: Application of protective minerals to strengthen tooth enamel and resist decay.
  • Fissure Sealants: Thin, protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth to prevent cavities, especially in children.

Restorative & Corrective Treatments:

  • Amalgam-Free Fillings: Using tooth-colored composite resin to repair cavities while maintaining a natural-looking smile.
  • Simple Extractions: Safe and gentle removal of teeth that are severely damaged, infected, or crowded.
  • Root Canal Therapy (RCT): Treatment to save a heavily infected tooth by cleaning the internal pulp and sealing it to prevent further pain.
  • Crowns & Veneers: Custom-fitted "caps" to strengthen broken teeth or thin porcelain shells to improve the appearance of your smile.
  • Emergency Care: Immediate assessment and pain relief for toothaches, chipped teeth, or minor dental trauma.

Specialized Community Services:

  • Oral Health Education: Personalized advice on brushing, flossing, and nutrition tailored to rural and remote lifestyles.
  • Denture Care: Minor on-site repairs and adjustments to ensure your dentures fit comfortably and function correctly.
